3000 YEARS OF HISTORY IN 3 SPACES

Circuit ticket
City of Amelia

The Museum Circuit is developed through three spaces representative of the ancient city of Ameria: the Civic Archaeological Museum and Art Gallery, Palazzo Petrignani, and the Roman Cistern.
The museums offer an evocative chronological and cultural tour of the city’s history.
The Archaeological Museum and Art Gallery, exhibits in addition to the imposing bronze statue of Germanicus, evidence ranging from the 6th century B.C., to the 18th century.
Climbing to the highest part of Amelia, one visits the eight rooms on the piano nobile of Palazzo Petrignani, a fine example of late Renaissance architecture.
Continuing the visit, we reach Piazza Matteotti, site of the ancient Roman Forum, where the perfectly preserved underground rooms of the Roman Cistern, dating from the first century B.C., are located.
