3000 years of Amelia’s history are witnessed by the imposing walls that surround a large part of the city for about 2 kilometers, the great Renaissance-style buildings, a great example of Roman engineering and by a rich archaeological collection.
The three levels of the historic centre indicate the presence of different peoples in different historical times: the Umbrians, the Romans, the midle Ages and the Renaissance.
Outside the walls, nature trails and pristine landscapes are the perfect setting for walks and outdoor activities in close contact with nature.
